Конституция
  изготвена от писани и не писани правила, правни решения
, съдебни прецеденти, традиционно право. Писаната част от конституцията съдържа Конституционен Акт от  29 Март 1867, който създава федерация от 4 провинции и Конституционния Акт от 17 Април 1982, който пренася формалния контрол над конституцията и добавя кандаската част за Правата и Свободите като конституционно закрепена процедура.
ВРЪЗКИ
Канада: Канада е едновременно парламентарна демокрация и конституционна монархия, т.е. държавният глава е монарх, като в момента това е кралица Елизабет II. Монархическият представител в Канада е Генералният губернатор. Неговата роля е да одобрява законите, но има и някои други задължения.
Канада е разделена на 10 провинции и 3 територии. Провинциите в голяма степен са автономни, докато териториите са по-зависими от правителството. Всяка провинция и територия има свои собствени еднокамарни законодателни органи.
